Scenic Drives - There are many scenic viewpoints around the village and plateau of Comboyne. You will find rolling hills, forests, streams, waterfalls and magnificent open skies. Click here for a map detailing these locations, as well as those listed below. It can be downloaded from this website in pdf or jpg format. It is also available at the Comboyne Community Centre located in the centre of the village.
Boorganna Nature Reserve - is the second oldest nature reserve in NSW. Boorganna is a 396 hectare reserve, a remnant of the extensive forests that once covered the plateau. There is a delightful picnic area and a 2.7km walking track that takes you through different forest types down into the valley to view the spectacular Rawson Falls. Vegetation ranges from sub-tropical to eucalypt forest, there is a wide range of fauna and abundant birdlife. A brochure on the reserve is available at the Comboyne Community Centre. Bridal Veil Falls Flora Reserve - is located on the corner of Comboyne Road and Stennetts Road on the northern side of the plateau. The views to the NW are sublime as are the views to the NE from the local historic cemetery located nearby. There is a picnic area at 'the Elbow' on the Wauchope Road.
Comboyne Nature Reserve - is located adjacent to the village of Comboyne on Mt Bulli. It is a large rocky hill once mainly cleared but now covered in a mosaic of vegetation, including rainforest, eucalypt forest and heath on the shallow soils. There is no access at the moment as it has only recently been gazetted and no tracks have been constructed.
