The Comboyne Community Arts Strategy has been developed by the Comboyne Community Association and local artists. People of the community have joined together in a number of community arts projects. These include the Comboyne Mural and Mosaic (see pictures opposite), the Pathways Project and an Artist Residency for the 2006 Comboyne Spring Festival. These projects have been funded by Local, State & Federal Government funding programs. These include the Catalyst Program, Port Macquarie Hastings Council, Country Arts Support Program, Mid North Coast Regional Arts and a Festivals Australia Artist Residency, Australia Council.
The Mural depicts the history of the Comboyne Plateau. This artwork involved extensive consultation with the community and was created by local artist Tertius. The Mosaic has the theme of the water ecology of the plateau. Mosaic workshops with Guy Crossley initiated the project. Many community members including local school children took part. They created hand made ceramic tiles and assembled the mosaic under the guidance of artists Skye and Tertius.
